Meet the Founder

I love the world. I love travelling. And after I was misunderstood culturally, I knew that the impact of misunderstanding can create a lot of hurt, a lot of harm and ultimately a lot of isolation.

There is more that connects us than divides us.

Behind every smile was a person with stories of their first kiss, their favourite homemade meal and their ideal career. Whatever people’s perspective was, there was a rich, deep-seated value for me in hearing their stories and allowing them to shape my worldview.

After pursuing my Masters Degree in Victoria, BC, with a cohort representing over 14 countries, I wanted to live and work with amplifying the global majority here in Canada. I spent a decade working in the social service sector, assisting the underrepresented and devalued community to advocate their right to express their voice. I’ve made messy mistakes, done the cringy ‘white people’ things and have had to unlearn many things embedded in my culture and in my upbringing.

Life is a journey and the unlearning and learning, the making mistakes and celebrating victories are what make us beautifully complex, messy and wonderful humans.

For my clients and for those I live with in my neighbourhood, listening to all perspectives is key to building a safe, inclusive and strong communities, liberating relationships and beautiful futures for our children.

A life can experience incredible joy, if it is open and willing to see colours and faces as they are. Taking time to listen, to posture ourselves with humble curiosity will us to know the incredible power of our humanity. And it starts with us.

Transforming our workplaces, our classrooms, our communities and our families begins with a small ‘yes’.

And all these small ‘yes’s create big change. It can start in the workplace, in the class room, and even in our first conversation with a stranger. Small gestures make big differences. You will be amazed at how much your organization, your community, your classroom can grow and succeed by incorporating and elevating the lives and voices around you. Our stories, connections and experiences that we bring is beautiful when it’s unique, celebrated and honoured.
