Systems thinker
Working at the intersection of leadership, culture and inclusion
My story
I started Janklin because I don’t want others to do this work alone.
I have left conversations feeling shame, guilt and fear. All the ways in which I am navigating people I care about fell short because I had only one-story, one-system, one-version to live, see and exist through.
We inherit bias, single-narratives and one musical note and we wonder why we feel empty, depleted and discouraged when misunderstanding, conflict or cultural friction happens. No matter our place on this planet, we universally share diverse workforces, multi-generational teams, and heightened expectations on what it is to be an inclusive or relational leader.
Our navigation of people and ourselves gets messy. You want do the right thing but just don’t know how.
That's the gap Janklin exists to close.
I've spent over 30 years hosted on Coast Salish territory and working abroad learning what it means to engage across cultures, generations, and systems that weren't designed with everyone in mind. My experiences taught me that when trust, inclusion and safety are built into the conditions where people work — not bolted on afterward — leaders don't just cope with change. They lean into it.
Janklin is my answer to that. Not a training. Not a checklist. A shift in your organizational intelligence.
Meet Andrea
I’m PMP certified
This means, I’m familiar with the universal standards for project leadership. And I’ve seen how globally diverse teams and their backgrounds, their bodies, their ways of thinking are often left out of the equations PMI applications aim to solve. So I create resources to integrate global perspectives with a westernized methodology.
I’m MAIIC educated
This means, I’m equipped to navigate intercultural and international communication with curiosity, empathy and a whole lot of messy mistakes in-between.
What I offer isn’t about you hiring a diverse team. Chances are your team is already diverse.
But what I offer is to support you in navigating that diversity, increasing your ability to be equipped in intercultural relationships, and to support your leadership as your teams and organization grow.
